Most of our planning meetings begin & end with wine. And sunshine, if at all possible. Is it any wonder we plan to spend quite a bit of time in the wine-growing regions?

After the neighborhood St Pat's parade, Nancy and Terry and I spent some time figuring out some details for the trip. There's so much we want to see, and too little time. We're going for 3 weeks, which seems like a long time but when you're driving a campervan on the wrong side of the road in a country that only has 10% level ground, you can't get anywhere too fast so you have to pick and choose. Besides which, we want to have the freedom to dawdle, spend some time in places that look interesting, instead of charging down the road.

The guidebooks say you should plan on 3-4 weeks PER ISLAND. Sigh--ain't gonna happen on this trip.
